This is the 2025 Paris Edition from Chichibu, a Japanese single malt bottled at 50.5% in a 70cl bottle. It is limited to 2,484 bottles, and its Montmartre label is paired with Asakusa, one of three pairs across six stamp-style labels. All six labels hold the same vatting of 17 casks, with whiskies aged between five and fourteen years. The casks include new French oak, a Spanish ex-sherry cask, ex-Bordeaux red wine casks, an American hogshead and bourbon barrels, two of which previously held heavily peated whisky. It is lightly peated, non-chill-filtered and without added colour. The nose offers passion fruit, lychee, mango and dark berries. On the palate, peat, lemon and pepper meet honey and wax. The finish is long, with gentian, mint, eucalyptus and toffee.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
