A heavily peated Chichibu single malt, distilled in 2015 and matured for seven years in a first-fill bourbon barrel, number 4701. It was bottled in 2023 at a cask strength of 63.3% ABV, in an outturn of 192 bottles, without chill-filtering or added colour.
It belongs to the New Vibrations series and was bottled by the distillery for La Maison du Whisky.
The nose combines dense peat smoke with medicinal tincture, iodine and wet chalk. The palate is powerful, salty and peppery, with a bright note of pear drop. The long finish brings tropical fruit and citrus alongside smoke and ash.
