Chicken Cock Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Batch 28 (70cl, 50%)

Batch 28 of Chicken Cock Small Batch, a Kentucky straight bourbon produced by Bardstown Bourbon Company. It is bottled in bond at 50% ABV after at least four years of maturation, without chill-filtering or added colour. Each small batch is a vatting of whiskeys from selected casks, so one batch can be told apart from the next. Citrus and spice sit alongside creamy sweetness and fruit. The nose combines sweet vanilla and orange zest with clove, ginger and fragrant oak. On the palate come creamy butterscotch, honey and vanilla custard with light spice, caramel and dark stone fruit. The finish is medium and balanced, with apricot, vanilla and oak.
