Chita – Suntory Distiller's Reserve Single Grain Japanese Whisky (70cl, 43%)

This is a single grain Japanese whisky from the Chita Distillery in Aichi Prefecture, sold in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. It is made using a range of unblended whisky brewing techniques developed at the distillery over many years. The character is light, with a delicately sweet fragrance. In the tasting notes the colour is pale gold. The nose brings tropical sweetness, with mango juice, lemon meringue pie, fizzy sweets and sticky toffee pudding. On the palate the texture is chewy yet light, with tropical juices, limes, grappa and light honey. Gentle wood spices carry into the finish, with a hint of cornflakes.
