A 13-year-old Scotch whisky from Chivas Brothers, bottled at 40% in a one-litre bottle.
It is matured with an Irish cask element, which gives the expression its name. The nose brings fresh red apples, cream soda vanilla, honeyed malt biscuits, sweet walnuts and a touch of cinnamon.
On the palate there are poached pears, honey, creamy vanilla, Brazil nuts, Jamaican ginger cake and liquorice. The finish is sweet and smooth, with a little spice.
