Chivas Regal 12 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky from Chivas Brothers, made from a mix of malt and grain whiskies that have each been matured for at least 12 years. The house traces its roots to a grocer's shop opened in 1801.
The blend is described as rich and smooth, balancing style with substance.
The aroma is creamy and aromatic, with vanilla custard, hints of aniseed, lemon curd and butter toffee. Wood shavings and dried banana chips follow, along with a hint of cassis.
