Chorlton Whisky Glen Elgin 12 Year Old (56.6%)

This is a 12 year old single malt from the Glen Elgin distillery in Speyside, bottled at 56.6% ABV by the independent bottler Chorlton Whisky. It was matured in a single cask, and 287 bottles were filled. The label carries one of Chorlton's playful illustrations, here a fruit-picking scene. The nose is soft caramel and sponge cake, with pear and apple underneath. The palate brings waxy peel and crisp biscuits, with a dusting of brown sugar and nutmeg. The finish is oily nuts and firm caramel cream.
