Churchill's 10 Year Old Tawny Port

This is a 10 Year Old Tawny port from Churchill's, a family-run house in Vila Nova de Gaia and the Douro valley. The wines are fermented in traditional granite lagares, then aged in used oak casks for an average of ten years before being blended in the house style. The grapes are picked by hand and trodden by foot at Quinta da Gricha. It has a brick-red colour with amber edges. The nose is elegant and complex, with dried fruit and hints of orange peel. The palate is full and fresh, leading to a long, lasting finish.
