Churchill's Vintage Port 2017

Churchill's Vintage Port 2017 is a vintage port from the Douro, made from old vines averaging over 50 years in age, most of them at Quinta da Gricha. The growing season was very dry, with a cold, dry winter and a hot spring, and the harvest was small. It is very dark, almost purple, in the glass. The nose is intense and focused, with layers of fresh blueberry. In the mouth it is opulent and vinous, with crushed blackcurrant, a tannic structure and a natural freshness that carries into a long finish.
