Circumstance – V2 4 Year Old 2019-2024 (Thompson Bros.) (70cl, 57.1%)

Circumstance V2 is a 4 year old English single grain whisky bottled by Thompson Bros. It was distilled on 22 July 2019 at the Circumstance micro-distillery in Bristol and bottled in March 2024. It matured in an ex-bourbon cask and is bottled at 57.1% in a 70cl bottle, in an edition of 211 bottles. The spirit is made with a 14-day fermentation followed by a slow distillation. The nose is pain au chocolat, marmalade, camomile and elderflower, with prosecco, green banana and a little varnish. The palate has dried citrus peel, kiwi, wax and gooseberries. The finish is round and balanced, with distinct fruit.
