Clydeside Napier Sherry Cask Matured (70cl, 46%)

Napier is the original bottling from The Clydeside Distillery, a Lowland single malt matured for six years entirely in Oloroso sherry casks. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtration or added colour. The distillery opened in 2017 in a pump house built in 1877, which once controlled access to Queen's Dock in Glasgow. The name honours the shipbuilding pioneer Robert Napier, whose yard stood directly opposite the present site. The nose offers ripe berries, sweet rose and tropical fruit. Orange marmalade, cherry and vanilla follow on the palate, and the finish brings clove and ginger.
