Clydeside – Stobcross 2022 (46%)

Stobcross is the first release from the Clydeside Distillery in Glasgow, a single malt bottled at 46%. The distillery stands in the former Pumphouse of the Queen's Dock, built in 1877. The name comes from a historic cross that once marked the road to Dumbarton Rock. Nearby, the Anderson family built Stobcross House around 1600, and it was demolished in 1875 to make way for the dock. The nose is floral, with fresh sweetness and tropical notes. On the palate these turn to orchard fruit with a touch of white pepper.
