Clydeside – Vibrant Stills 2018 Bourbon Barrel (70cl, 58%)

Vibrant Stills is a single cask Clydeside single malt, filled in June 2018 and bottled at 58% in a 70cl bottle. The edition is limited to 274 bottles. It matured throughout in a first-fill bourbon barrel that previously held Oz Tyler, a Kentucky craft bourbon. Distillery manager Alistair McDonald counts it among the best bourbon casks he has found, and its bourbon character impressed everyone at the cask selection. The nose and palate show sweet exotic fruit reminiscent of passion fruit, followed by a lightly salty caramel wave, milk chocolate and pink candyfloss.
