Clydeside – Vibrant Stills 2018 Tawny Port Cask Finish (70cl, 55%)

This is a single cask Clydeside single malt from the distillery on the River Clyde in Glasgow, run by the Morrison family. It was selected together with distillery manager Alistair McDonald. The spirit was distilled in June 2018 and first matured in a fresh bourbon barrel. It then spent a year in a tawny port cask for a finish. Cask 006F was bottled at 55%, and 358 bottles were filled. The colour is a soft pink. The nose brings grapes, raspberry drops and rose petals, followed on the palate by malt sugar, wine gums and a little cherry and cocoa.
