Clynelish – 15 Year Old 2009 Old Malt Cask Hunter Laing Refill Hogshead (70cl, 50%)

This is a single cask Clynelish from the 2009 vintage, bottled in 2025 after 15 years in a refill hogshead. It comes from Hunter Laing's Old Malt Cask series and is bottled at 50% abv in a 70cl bottle, with 320 bottles in the outturn. The Highland distillery's casks rarely reach independent bottlers, and Hunter Laing selects only a few casks each month, at their peak of maturity. The nose is lightly smoky, with salted caramel and raisins. The palate is fruity, with apricot, honey and candied almonds, and the finish is long and complex with lingering sweetness.
