Clynelish 18 Year Old 'Waxen Sun' is a 2025 Diageo Special Release in a 70cl bottle. It is built around an experimental early distillation cut known as the Pineapple Cut, designed to keep more of the lighter compounds associated with tropical fruit. It was matured in refill casks, so the spirit takes centre stage. The distinctive waxy texture of Clynelish comes with lychee, pineapple, mango, melon and ripe pear, alongside honeycomb, vanilla and a chalky minerality. White pepper and warming spice give structure to a finish that stays fresh, fruity and gently waxy.
