This is a 19 year old Highland single malt from Clynelish, distilled in 2000 and bottled by Decadent Drinks as Whisky Sponge Edition No.8. It is a vatting of two refill hogsheads, bottled at 48.5% ABV as 762 bottles, in a 70cl size. The name 'Candlekitty' appears on the label, and Clynelish is known for a waxy make.
The nose is sunflower oil, lemon polish, fermenting apples and orange peel with peach yoghurt. The palate is oily and mouthcoating, with orange jam, lemon posset, wet granite and honey on toast. The finish is long and malty, with oatcakes and white pepper.
