Clynelish Special Release 2015 is a 15-year-old cask strength Highland single malt, bottled at 56.1% without chill-filtration. It is limited to 2,946 bottles. The whisky was matured in first-fill American oak barrels, rejuvenated and refill American oak hogsheads, and bodega and refill European oak butts. It is made from un-peated malted barley from the Black Isle at the distillery near Brora in Sutherland. The nose opens with scorched grass, vanilla fudge and peeled orange, with green apple, lemon zest and floral wax. The palate is rich and waxy, with toffee, orange, peach and cinnamon, and an oily texture. The finish is long and creamy, with orange candy, ginger and beeswax.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
