Clynelish Distillers Edition is a Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle. It is double matured, with a second maturation in Oloroso Seco casks that previously held fortified wine. In the 1960s the distillery was updated, with electricity installed and the still converted from a hand-fired coal furnace to internal steam heating. A new distillery was then built on an adjacent site in 1967-68 and replaced the original. The whisky is described as clean and refined, with great balance and an easy-drinking character.
