Coleburn Local Heros Big Smoke Blended Malt Scotch Whisky Batch #0001 (70cl, 46%)

Coleburn Local Heros Big Smoke is a Speyside blended malt, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. This is batch #0001. It is the smokiest of the first Local Heros trio, which also includes Sweet Peat and Sherry Bomb. The series is dedicated to the people and communities behind Scotch whisky and is bottled at the Coleburn site, a historic Speyside distillery now being revived. The nose brings cherry, vanilla and lemon with maritime notes, plum pudding, toffee and elegant smoke. The palate starts with medicinal peat smoke, turning to earthier woodsmoke, with orchard fruit, banana, sea salt and a hint of tobacco. The finish is long, strongly smoky and fruity.
