Art & Decadence is a limited edition blended Scotch whisky from Compass Box, bottled at 49% in a 70cl bottle. Balmenach single malt makes up 42% of the blend and was finished separately in Marsala, Sauternes and Madeira casks. Linkwood aged in Palo Cortado sherry casks, Glen Moray finished in oloroso sherry casks and grain whisky from Port Dundas complete the blend. It is not chill-filtered, and 9,496 bottles were produced.
The nose opens with marzipan and gingerbread, then cooked pear, cinnamon and allspice. The palate is fruity, with toffee, dark chocolate, chestnut, dates, dried apricot and fig, plus black pepper and clove. The finish is moderately long and creamy, with orange blossom and white chocolate.
