Compass Box Asyla is a blended Scotch whisky created by John Glaser. Around half of it is single malt from Linkwood, Glen Elgin and Teaninich, alongside single grain whisky from Cameronbridge.
It is aged mainly in first-fill American oak barrels and bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtration or artificial colouring.
The nose is soft, with vanilla cream, honey and fresh-cut grass, plus green apple and white chocolate. The palate is light-bodied, with vanilla custard, malt and citrus, and the finish is clean, with soft fruit sweetness and a hint of biscuit and oak.
