Compass Box Flaming Heart 10th Anniversary (70cl, 48.9%)

Flaming Heart 10th Anniversary is a blended malt from Compass Box. The Flaming Heart cuvée first appeared in 2006, and this third edition was released in 2010 to mark ten years of Compass Box. It combines single malts from the Highlands and the islands. Matured 47% in refill American oak, 34% in first-fill American oak and 19% in new French oak, it was bottled at 48.9% abv in an outturn of 4,186 bottles. The nose brings smoke, spice, ripe fruit and vanilla from the new oak. The palate is rich, with peat, pepper, clove, caramel and fruit. The finish is long, smoky and spicy.
