Compass Box Hedonism (70cl, 43%)

Hedonism is a blended grain Scotch whisky from Compass Box, made entirely from grain whisky. It was the first whisky the company released, in 2000. The blend draws on aged grain whiskies from Lowland distilleries including Cambus and Port Dundas, matured in first-fill American oak barrels. It is bottled at 43% without chill filtration or added colour. The nose is creamy, with crème brûlée, coconut, vanilla bean and warm pastry. On the palate come buttery toffee, white chocolate, soft baking spice and orchard fruit. The finish is lingering, with vanilla custard, soft oak and gentle spice.
