Compass Box Metropolis (70cl, 49%)

Metropolis is a limited edition blended Scotch from Compass Box, the third release in The Extinct Blends Quartet. It refers to industry colliding with city life, and is bottled at 49% in a 70cl bottle. The blend combines single malts from Aberlour, Bladnoch, Bowmore and Miltonduff with grain whiskies. The outturn was 5,910 bottles. The nose opens with vanilla, followed by apricot, pineapple, honey, fresh figs and fudge. The palate is rich and complex, with sultanas, apricot and smoked wood. The finish is long and sweet.
