Compass Box Oak Cross (70cl, 43%)

Oak Cross is a blended malt Scotch whisky from Compass Box, bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is made from single malts, primarily Clynelish, Dailuaine and Teaninich. The name refers to its oak: the malts are matured in first-fill American oak and custom French oak casks, the French oak heads adding spice and texture. It is non-chill-filtered and natural in colour. The nose has warming spices, baked pear and vanilla cream with clove and oak polish. The palate is medium-bodied and velvety, with toffee, cinnamon, apple crumble and a growing oakiness. The finish is dry and spiced, with toasted oak and soft malt.
