Compass Box Ultramarine The Extinct Blends Quartet (51%)

Ultramarine is a blended Scotch whisky from Compass Box, bottled at 51%. It is the first release in the Extinct Blends Quartet, a series that revisits four popular blends from the past. This one takes its inspiration from the old sherry and pipe tobacco notes of a luxurious blend first launched in the late 1980s. It is built on mature malts from Caol Ila and Glendullan, aged grain whiskies from Cameronbridge and Girvan, and a mix of pre-blended stocks. The nose brings toffee, old polished oak and layered peat, while the palate offers roasted pecans, raisins and smoke.
