Connemara Original is a peated single malt Irish whiskey from Kilbeggan Distilling Co., in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV. Peated single malts are uncommon in Ireland, and this one pairs peat smoke with a fresh, lightly smoky character. The nose offers soft peat smoke, honey, vanilla, citrus and light spices. The palate is creamy and fresh, with smoke, sweet grain, green apple and subtle wood. The finish is medium to long, warm, softly smoky and slightly spicy.
