Coop. Distillerie Mirto (50cl)

A traditional Sardinian liqueur made by macerating myrtle berries. The berries are hand-picked during the winter months, when fully ripe, and macerated in pure alcohol for a period that can vary from a few months to a year. It has a dark red, almost black colour, clear and bright. The nose shows intensely fruity and slightly herbaceous notes, with wild berry and eucalyptus hints. On the palate it is sweet but balanced by the natural acidity of the berries, with a pleasant aromatic persistence. Traditionally served as a digestif after meals, it is also used as a base for cocktails or served chilled in summer.
