Cooper's Choice 2010 Inchgower 12 Years Old is a Speyside single malt from cask 801362, bottled by The Vintage Malt Whisky Company in its Cooper's Choice range at 53.5%.
It was distilled in February 2010 and bottled in 2022. The whisky matured in American oak and was then finished in a Beaumes de Venise sweet wine cask, which held a Muscat wine from the Rhône. The release comes to 300 bottles.
The nose has ripe pear, honeyed vanilla and a touch of sea salt. On the palate, medium-bodied, there are pineapple and pear with ginger, soft maltiness and a maritime edge. The finish is elegant and steady, with spice, fruit and a hint of the sea.
