Masthouse is a single grain English whisky from Copper Rivet Distillery in Chatham, Kent, where the whisky is made from grain to glass. It is built on three grains, wheat, barley and rye, with a touch of malt, and is matured exclusively in ex-bourbon casks.
A long fermentation and careful distillation in a column still shape the style. Wheat gives sweetness and creaminess, barley adds nuttiness and rye a herbal spiciness. The finish is long.
