Cotswolds – Odyssey Barley (70cl)

Cotswolds Odyssey Barley is a single malt matured for 3 years, and the first single malt distilled in the Cotswolds. It comes in a 70cl bottle. It is made only from barley grown in the Cotswolds, with the variety and the farm named on the label of each bottle. Two yeasts are used, and the local water is filtered, softened and demineralised. Maturation takes place in 200-litre first-fill Kentucky ex-bourbon barrels and in 225-litre American oak red wine casks that have been re-coopered and toasted. The nose offers honey, toffee, peaches, apricots and a hint of marzipan. The palate brings strong malt, caramelised sugar, black spice and orange marmalade, followed by a long, resinous finish.
