Craigellachie – 12 Year Old 2006 Berry Bros and Rudd (70cl, 53.9%)

This is a single cask Craigellachie, selected, matured and bottled by Berry Bros and Rudd. It was distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2019 as a 12 year old, in a 70cl bottle. It comes at a cask strength of 53.9%, with no chill filtration and no added colour. The nose opens with delicate smoke and cold buttered toast, alongside green banana skin and malty, biscuity notes. The palate is full and rounded, with succulent bursts of fruit. The finish is drier, nutty and malty, though the fruit still comes through.
