A 13 year old Speyside single malt from Craigellachie, matured in American oak barrels and then finished in Bas-Armagnac casks from France.
The Bas-Armagnac finish adds a sweet, wine-like note to a whisky that also carries a subtle smokiness.
The nose offers orchard fruits, honey and floral notes, with a touch of apricot and plum. On the palate come baked apple and creamy toffee, followed by dried fruit, nutmeg and cinnamon. The finish is long and warming, balancing sweetness with spice.
