Craigellachie 13 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Craigellachie distillery, released in the autumn of 2014 as one of three official bottlings that year. It is bottled at 46% in a 750ml bottle and is non-chill filtered.
It is a fruit-driven malt with a distinctive current of smoke running through the middle.
The nose offers apple orchards in bloom, a slightly meaty edge, burnt popcorn and treacle tart. On the palate, oily malt comes first, then barbecued pineapple, summer berries, pine nuts and almonds. The finish has a very soft hint of sulphur behind biscuit and apple.
