Craigellachie 13 Year Old is a Speyside single malt and the first release in the Craigellachie Cask Finish series. It is sold in a 75cl bottle at 48.5% ABV.
The whisky was matured for a minimum of 13 years, first in American oak casks and then finished in Armagnac casks from the Bas region. Craigellachie's worm tub condensers add to the muscular character of the distillate, and the Armagnac finish rounds it.
The tasting notes describe baked apples dusted with cinnamon and caramel shortcake, with syrupy pineapple and a bonfire night smokiness.
