Craigellachie – 13 Years Old (70cl, 46%)

Craigellachie 13 Years Old is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, in a 70cl bottle at 46% abv. It is part of Dewar's Last Great Malts range. The village of Craigellachie lies between Dufftown, Aberlour and Rothes. The distillery was built in 1891 and renewed in 1965. For a long time its spirit went almost entirely into blends, and single malts are a more recent step. Dewar's contributes a sulphur note, described as meaty, to the character. The house style is sweet, malty and nutty, with fruit.
