This is Craigellachie 13 Years Old, a Speyside single malt bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in refill American oak casks, which give it a dark rim and a hint of smoke.
The nose has soft melted banana toffee, vanilla rice, apple peel and pineapple. The palate is floral with some metallic, aluminium-like notes, a dry mouthfeel, cranberry and a touch of smoke. The finish brings dried cranberries and woody spices.
