Craigellachie 13 Years Old is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle, at 46% ABV.
The nose opens with grilled pineapple, green apple and mandarin, alongside vanilla, toasted marshmallow and floral honey. Underneath sits an industrial note of oil, light smoke and a hint of sulphur. The palate is dense and waxy, with malted barley sweetness and ripe tropical fruit giving way to white pepper, cinnamon, ginger and clove, plus burnt wood and tobacco.
The finish is very long, dry and slightly bitter, with grapefruit peel, charcoal smoke and a mineral, salty edge.
