Craigellachie 17 Year Old is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle at 46% abv. It matured entirely in American oak and is not chill-filtered. It is one of three new Craigellachie bottlings with age statements from owner John Dewar & Sons, and the first official Craigellachie releases since Dewar's took ownership in 1998.
The colour is bright gold. The nose offers vanilla, pineapple, quince, melon, baked apples and orange marmalade, with liquorice and smoky wood. The palate is creamy and sweet, with tropical fruit, caramel toffee, nougat, fresh citrus and a hint of black pepper. The finish is long and grows smokier.
