Craigellachie 17 Years is a Speyside single malt, an original distillery bottling matured for 17 years in oak casks. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV.
The distillery stands in the village of Craigellachie, between Dufftown, Aberlour and Rothes. It was built in 1891 and renewed in 1965. Its spirit is still distilled in traditional copper worm tubs, and the barley is flavoured with sulphur, which adds a sulphury, meaty note to the character of the malt.
