This is a 15 year old Craigellachie from Speyside, bottled by Thompson Bros at 51.6% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled on 15 December 2007 and bottled in July 2023, after maturing in a refill hogshead. The outturn was 213 bottles.
The label is based on a piece of artwork by KMG.
The nose brings shortbread-style coconut shavings, cider vinegar, tonka bean, green pepper, grist and barley sugar. The palate has roasted root vegetables, freshly harvested straw, sourdough and green pepper. The finish is incisive and malty, with a burst of lime.
