This is a single cask Craigellachie from Speyside, bottled by The Whisky Chamber at 58.9% ABV in a 50cl bottle.
The spirit was distilled in September 2008 and matured for ten years in a Madeira cask. The cask yielded 363 bottles, and the Madeira sweetness is what defines it.
The nose combines malt and dried fruit with a note of Madeira. On the palate come malt sweets, the sweetness of the wine and well-integrated oak, making for a complex dram. The finish is long, with a hint of oak.
