A single cask Craigellachie from Speyside, distilled in 2009 and matured for nine years in a bourbon hogshead. It was bottled at a cask strength of 55.1% in a 70cl bottle for Cadenhead's Small Batch series, and the outturn is 570 bottles.
The nose is juicy fruit with sweet pineapple, mango, caramel and vanilla ice cream. On the palate there are light notes of ash and earth alongside vanilla, whipped cream and maple syrup. The finish is dry and spicy, with cinnamon, cassia, lemon and coconut flakes.
