Craigellachie – 2013/2025 12 Year Old Oloroso Sherry Finish (70cl, 60.5%)

This is a 12 year old Craigellachie single malt bottled by Hannah Whisky Merchants at a natural cask strength of 60.5% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled on 20th January 2013 and bottled on 29th January 2025, and the cask yielded 332 bottles. The whisky spent its first 11 years in a very active refill oloroso butt, then a little over 18 months in an ex-oloroso hogshead to deepen the sherry influence. The distillate is heavy-bodied, with fruit, spice and floral notes. It is described with cinnamon doughnut, rich fruit cake and rolling tobacco.
