This is a 21 year old single cask Craigellachie from the Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseurs Choice series. The Speyside whisky was distilled in 2002 and matured in a refill bourbon barrel, then bottled on 23 April 2024 at a cask strength of 57.9%. The cask gave 219 bottles of 70cl. It is not chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose combines white chocolate, vanilla, apple, sweet malt and sponge. The palate is balanced, with banana, juicy mango, peach and a touch of aniseed. The medium-length finish ends on pepper and lime.
