This is Craigellachie at 23 years old, a single malt in a 70cl bottle. It was one of four official bottlings from the distillery released in 2014.
The character is bold and fruity, with complex herbs, refined oak and a touch of sulphur.
The nose brings lemon, orange and pineapple with warm oak and golden barley, the oak growing toastier. On the palate come salted caramel, creamy vanilla and orange zest, with cinnamon, nutmeg and a whiff of sulphur. The finish is long, with lingering sulphur balanced by sweet spices.
