CRN57 30 Year Old Blended Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 43%)

This is a 30 year old blended malt from the CRN57° core range, created by the Gordon & MacPhail blending team and bottled for The Cairn. The range gives an idea of the style intended for the single malts that The Cairn, near Grantown-on-Spey, will release in future. The malts in this bottling come from distilleries that are not named. It was matured in American white oak and is bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is chill-filtered and has no added colour. The nose shows rich fruit cake, candied citrus peel and cinnamon, with toffee and Medjool dates. On the palate, spice and pepper meet sultanas, wild berries, oak and floral notes. The finish is full and sweet, ending with liquorice and spice.
