Croftengea 12 Year Old is a heavily peated single malt made at Loch Lomond distillery, distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2025 for the Scotch Malt Whisky Society as cask 122.73. It was matured in a single bourbon barrel and bottled at 59.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with 139 bottles produced. The aroma is hard to pin down: rubber and glue, polish and caramel, alongside overripe pineapple, red apples, key lime pie and rosehip tea. The palate has barbecued overripe bananas and grilled pears with honey and chilli powder, and the finish brings butterscotch and toffee.
