A peated single malt from Croftengea, one of the smokiest malts made at Loch Lomond Distillery. It was distilled in 2016 and is bottled at 7 years old and 53%.
The whisky was matured in a former bourbon cask and then finished in a former Jamaican rum cask. It was bottled by the independent bottler Vintage Malt Whisky Company in its Cooper's Choice range.
The nose is earthy peat smoke with sweet light fruit and a slightly grassy note running through sweet malt. On the palate sweet vanilla meets cooked fruit, pineapple and papaya, with peat smoke behind. The finish is long and intense, fruit and smoke fading to ash.
